Founder & Team Leader
Rod Laughlin
Rod holds an MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His primary work for the past 13 years has been developing The Readable Bible. A former pastor and business owner, he is a long-time Bible teacher at his Evangelical Presbyterian church.
Dr. Brendan Kennedy
Lead Translator
Brendan pastors a Wesleyan church. He has a Master's degree in biblical languages and a PhD in Old Testament from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as a missionary, professor, and preacher for over 15 years.
Larry Stone
Vice President
A Moody graduate, Larry has experience in all aspects of book publishing. After building the successful book division of Thomas Nelson Publishers, he co-founded Rutledge Hill Press. Author of The Story of the Bible.
Dr. Colby Kinser
New Testament Editor
Colby is a district superintendent for the Evangelical Free Church. With an MDiv from Talbot School of Theology and a DMin from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has served the church as a pastor for over 17 years, as a teacher at Ahero Evangelical School of Theology in Kenya, and as president of Hungry4HIM Ministries.
Lisa Parnell
Managing Editor
With over 30 years experience in the production side of newspapers, books, and marketing pieces, and 15 years as an editorial project manager, Lisa manages the entire editorial process and team for The Readable Bible.
Susan Tough
Senior Editor
With a Master's degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Susan has over 12 years experience in editing, content management, and e-commerce. She is part of the Evangelical Free Church denomination.
